Installing eight poorly positioned cameras isn’t necessarily better than installing four correctly positioned ones.
You want useful footage.
That means considering viewing angle, identification distance, lighting and what happens at night.
Think About Camera Overlap
In some locations, having overlapping coverage can be useful.
For example, one camera may provide a general overview of the driveway while another provides better identification near an entrance.
Plan Before You Install
CCTV should ideally be designed around the property rather than starting with a pre-packaged “4 camera” or “8 camera” kit.
